In a world where every step forward counts, the Swedish Armed Forces have been on a mission to redefine themselves, moving from a traditionally male-dominated institution to a more diverse and inclusive one. As part of this journey, their participation in Stockholm Pride 2024 was more than just symbolic; it was a statement of their commitment to equality and unity.

For the third year, BANG partnered with the Swedish Armed Forces to create a meaningful presence at Pride. This year, the overall theme was "Stronger Together". Our concept? "The World's Strongest Timeline" - an interactive installation that invited visitors to reflect on and contribute to the milestones of LGBTQIA+ history. Under the banner "Forward! March! Step by step, stronger together," the timeline showcased key moments of progress, both in society and within the Swedish Armed Forces, while inviting participants to add their personal memories and visions for the future. Personnel from across the Swedish Armed Forces were on hand, engaging with visitors, sharing stories, and sparking conversations about the ongoing journey toward inclusivity. The result was a profound connection with nearly 15,000 Pride attendees, with around 500 in-depth conversations at the booth. The timeline quickly filled up with personal contributions, transforming the installation into a collective testament to the power of unity. BANG!
